- Use a small rad-roller and take your time in prepairing.
- you can get tile paint and I've seen it done nicely, but it didnt work out when I tried to do it
- I would advise against it. Are these ceramic or vinyl tiles? If so, paint won't stick to them. If you really hate the tile, then put a backsplash over it, or demo the tiles and put up a different backsplash completely.
- I wouldn't if I were you. I've seen it done, looks ok (ish) when newly applied, but soon chipped, and then looked awful.
- Use tile paint and a smaller roller.
- the first thing is that you need to clean the tiles very well. then you must use the correct bonding primer. the paint would be best sprayed, but if thats not possible, use a conditioner in the paint to provide a self leveling element. use a roller specifically for smooth surfaces. sand lightly between coats.
- I painted mine in the kitchen, but by the time you have bought the primer and the paint , you could have re tiled and get a more professional look.
- apply one coat of tile primer (get this at b&q) then 2 coats of oil based eggshell which you can get mixed to any colour of your choice at colour mixing paint desks .this gives a lovely long lasting finish .good luck
- ive done it in the bathroom, primed then painted them. i would advise you not to do it. although they look good when finished they do not stay that way for long, the paint starts to peel and lift and looks a right mess. i would either tile over your existing ones or rip them off and start again.
