What are Solar Lights?

My dad put solar lights (not wired) on his Christmas list but I really don't know what they are haha. Can anyone help me and maybe tell me where to buy them? Thanks!

  1. Solar lights are lights that get its power by Sun light. Its a great way to sav money from electricity. there pricey but u gets your money back after awhile when u save money from your electric bill.
  2. there are several different types, they all basically work the same: the sun charges the batteries and then they come on at night and go off in the morning. They don't generally give off a lot of light but they are good for accent lighting. They can be purchased at most hardware and outdoor stores. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart and Target also carry them. Talk to one of the employees to get a better idea of which brands are better. Good luck
