After I switch my bedroom light off, it sometimes lights up again - why?
It's a normal light - light on ceiling, switch on wall... it's an energy saving light bulb. I'm just curious as to why this is happening - is it a problem? It doesn't light back up to it's full power, and only lasts a split second, but it is a bit creepy!

- That is a very common problem with energy saving light bulbs. I found it out after having an electrician take a look at mine after having the same problem. It's something to do with the gases inside. I went back to a normal light bulb!
- most likely the lightswitch is no longer fucntioning properly my suggestion would be to install a new one...but make sure that you turn off the breaker to the switch to avoid a electric shock and reinstall the wires the same way they came off or have someone help you
- Sounds like a wire is loose in the switch or else the switch has been used so much it is wearing out and the spring on the inside is getting weak and don't hold in the OFF position.
- Probably ionised gas inside the glass envelope discharging through the control gear contained within the unit. Nothing to be worried about.
- A result of induction in the wires. Re-route the cables/ change the light bulb or learn to ignore it.
- dont listen to your other replies poppet trust me!!!!!!! (lol) this is something dragged up from the deepest darkest forces (lol) and if you even think (which i do) that they're out to get me!!!! they're out to get you!!!!!!!! im pissed again lol xxxxxxxx
