looking to install pot lights or track lighting in a header,it is in an open area above a counter top where?

would be a good place a install light switch, like i said it is pretty open, only available wall would have cabinets attached to them. all suggestions would be great.

1. See if you can get the wiring back over to where the room light switch is already at. Swap out old switch with a multiswitch. Not knowing about the room you could have the switch located at the work area. Say the room is the kitchen, main work area is around the sink, so put the switch next to the sink. At the end of the day, its your place, put it where you think it should be. Best of luck
