Bedroom Interior Design Ideas?

I am having the hardest time figuring out what i want in my room. I painted it back in January in a really dark beige color which is not working for me anymore. I need something more relaxing like a peach color or something in the blue side... I have too much furniture and my room looks really crowded and on top of that, I have windows on 3 of the 4 sides of the room... I'm going crazy! Any ideas on where to go or what website to look at that will answer my questions??? i am stressing about it and the whole point on redecorating it is to relax so....it's not working so far! Thanks to whoever answers and I will pick a best answer so....good luck guys and wish me luck too...I need it :)

  1. try this: http://www.behr.com/behrx/act/view/workbook you can even upload pictures of your room, and have the computer show you what it would look like in different colors.
  2. well i would suggest getting rid of everything that you no longer use in your room. make piles : keep, give to charity, throw away. that will eliminate much of the stuff that is stressing you out. next pick a color you want.. maybe a light blue (very calm) or peach (entergetic and happy). clear out your room, put some music on and paint! then rearrange your furniture from some something completley different to what you already have. and make sure you keep up with organzing and keeping your space clean. it will make you much more relaxed. go to websites like pottery barn or peir one imports to get ideas for what you would like your room to look like! good luck
  3. why don't you try a mellow light green. With all the windows you can bring the outside in. Then use your peaches as accent colors. Green in the right shade is very relaxing. We just painted our bedroom a nice green and have accented it with a variety of colors depending on my mood.

  5. What about something like "pinky beige" by sherwin williams? I think it's more of the peach tone that you're looking for. And, according to feng shui, painting your bedroom a "skin color" will enhance your love life: http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_visualizer/index.jsp Even if you don't buy into the whole feng shui philosophy, many of its design tips will help you arrange your room so it's more comfortable for you. 8. If you want a relaxing bedroom by far the best color to go for would be a pale blue. Blue has been proven to be the most relaxing color, and can even help bring down high blood pressure, and help healing. As it is a cool color, and especially if you use a pale blue, it will keep a sense of light and space to your room. I really wouldn't go for a peach color for a relaxing feel. Peach is really a pale orange, and this is one of the least relaxing colors you can go for. Orange is very stimulating to the senses, and can even keep you awake. Definitely not recommended for a bedroom. Try and clear out any unnecessary clutter too - but hey, if you need the stuff, you need the stuff. Painting your room a relaxing pale blue would help a lot with this anyway, I think.
