I am looking for a shade/valance to cover the lighting strip above the mirror in my bathroom.?

I have seen them in day spas and other retail stores but cant find anything in stores or on the net. Any ideas where to get something like this? Thank you !

  1. I believe I know what you are talking about. I don't know where you could those - BUT - consider this ... we did this in a house we used to live in. Make something akin to a window box that fits around it. Of course the bottom is left open to accomodiate the lighting. Then either upholster or cover the wood with wallpaper to match your decor. We loved it in our house. Inexpensive, easy and such a way to compliment any room. We also did this over the tops of some windows and it worked so well. So many compliments we received on this simple approach to decorating.
  2. Go to your local fabric store. Check out the "Home Decoration" section in their pattern books. There are patterns for making a valance that you can use. It is made of Styrofoam, fabric and hot glue.
