How can I convert a standard voltage outdoor light to work on my low voltage landscape circuit?

  1. Don't even try. Although it is possible to use an inverter, the amperage draw would most likely damage your low voltage system.
  2. change the fitting inside the unit for one that is the same as your low voltage system, this may require some bodging, and change the supply cable to the same as your low voltage system so it cant get confused in the future as a mains voltage luminare, then connect to your system, making sure your are not overloading the transformer with too many bulbs, eg if you have a 100wtt output on your transformer and your bulbs are 20wtt then you can only have a max 5 bulbs. or 10 x 10 watt bulbs, this is just an example,. basicly, add up the total wattage of your bulbs/luminares to the maximum output of your transformer. using an inverter is not an option, as you will kill you present transformer. good luck, be careful, think logically and you will do fine.
