High Key lighting, and a wooded outdoor location....?
As far as I can remember at this time, all high key lighted shots that I have seen, have been on lite/white backgrounds. Is there a way to do the effect in a forest location, with all the regular trees and boulders that would be found in a forest. I havent actually tried it yet, the high key effect, yet. In camera stuff??? Just kinda curious. For now.

- High key in natural lighting just requires you to have the background be about two stops over the subjects exposure and then over expose the whole shot by another full stop. This will just expose the shadow area and some of the mid-range tones with detail ... the rest will go white. Usually high and low key shots are done in the studio to simplify the background and focus on form and texture.
- The easiest way I know is to place the subject in a shaded area with the sun striking hard on the background. Don't put much of anything behind or along with the subject. You really want the whole area, except for the subject, to be in the bright light. Then, expose for the subject shadows and let the background "blow out". Then tweak it during printing to get what you want.
