  1. They make battery operated tea lights.
  2. Solar lighting
  3. twinkle lights aka christmas lights.....twirl them around trees, or around some type of posts you can hammer into the lawn lining the driveway....it'll be lit up a bit, and look very romantic.
  4. White Christmas Lights. You can wrap them around trees or shrubs. They are very beautiful and are weather proof! Best Wishes
  5. The type of lights that come encased in a plastic casing - rope lighting. You can outline the driveway in it by stretching the ropes out and placing 'U' shaped stakes over it to secure it to the ground. You can also put battery operated tea lights in to covered jars (old empty glass food jars - pickles, mayo, applesauce, etc.). With the lid on it will glow through the sides and you won't worry about the rain getting to it. Christmas lights are a good thought too, they are meant to be outdoors - if you don't have many or the color you want (white/clear?) then start asking the families and neighbors!
  6. Outside rope lights
  7. There are solar lights. You can find really cute designs, but most don’t illuminate anything, they just look pretty. They work best as markers for where the driveway ends and the grass begins. There Christmas lights. If you’ve already got a string of outdoor Christmas lights, or if anyone in your family has some (preferably white, but if you don’t mind the coloured bulbs then go for it) put some stakes in the grass along the driveway and hang lights on them or flowing from tree to tree/bush to bush/plant to plant. The white, non-LED lights are best for illumination. There are battery powered candles that you can buy, but again, they’re not very good at illuminating anything. You could buy some oil tiki torches, but I don’t know how well they fair in the rain. If you’re planning on buying a light to illuminate your driveway in the future, just buy it now and use that. If you want a nice romantic feel, I’d go with the string lights. If you’re going for a practical idea, I’d go with the driveway light.
  8. Patio lights in camping section, or in seasonal section. (sale end of season) Target has some nice ones. Or check out solar pathway lights
  9. here are some ideas from target website. I would get those solar power lights for the sidewalk they are great and you can even keep them. they are that expensive either.
