Low voltage outdoor lighting system - blow?
My low voltage garden lighting transformer is rated for 150 Watts. What will happen if I put 160 Watts on the line? Will it blow the transformer? Breaker? Lights?

- It should just trip the breaker.
- it may work but will work better and longer if its not pushed to its limit lose a light or get a larger transformer woudnt you feel better a less than maxed out transformer under your porch while u sleep?
- It depends on the make and model of the transformer itself. It may just not give enough power to all of the lights and they would be dull. If you put too high a demand on the transformer it will simply shut off and you would have to hit the reset button. Try not to over do it ok...... Good luck
- It might flip a breaker and melt the transformer.
- I put 4 extra lights on my 12 max line, its been working perfect for two years
- You will FRY the transformer, believe me I did it.
