HELP!! I need to know about light fixtures...?
Okay, I am moving into this older house and I don't want to have to do any rewiring with the lights. Most of these are pull string, and like you see in closets with the bulb exposed on the ceiling. Do they make fixtures for lights like that anymore, like something I can screw around it, or attach to the bulb itself. Please help

- The wiring is right behind that fixture, obviously, so you you won't find anything to attach to the bulb or fixture, but replacing the whole thing with something new is a snap! Don't be intimidated, avoid the big box places and check out a local lighting store, trust me it is easier than it looks. Good Luck!
- you can get shades tha snap on to the bulb or change the whole fixture ---- LEARN WHAT BREAKER WORKS WHAT CIRCUIT -- also get a voltage tester to insure that circuit is off - it sounds scary but one you do it once its a snap ....
- Well, it sounds like you would have to rewire them to change them if they don't have switches and you want switches. It really is easy to rewire just the fixture. There are two wires, one black and one white, you just attach the correct colored wires together with wire nuts, attach it back to the cieling box and put in light bulbs. If you don't have switches and they are just controled by pull cords then you might want to talk to a local electrician, or at least go to a local home-improvement store and talk to them about what you want, they can show you what they have and how to install just about anything.
