New Apartment, Old light fixtures, need a change?
I just moved in to an old old apartment with hideous light fixtures everywhere. Is it going to be way to much of an investment to replace them if I'm just renting, and how do I go about changing these things if I want to?

- Talk to your landlord about changing them, they should change them for you if they are very old. Explain to them that you are worried about the electrical wiring behind them.
- Try Ikea... they have awesome prices. Oh... Target too!
- The building won't care at ALL if you want to change them. Of you can keep the old ones in tact when you remove them and save them. You can put them back in when you leave and take your new ones with you. If you break them though, you will need to leave yours. They are not that expensive is you shop cheaply. www.ikea.com has some cheap, awesome fixtures. Amen to you for getting rid of ugly fixtures. Nothing makes a place look trashier.
