What are some good mood lighting fixtures?

Besides dimmers and candles Rob - wouldn't the sheet catch fire from the hear of a lamp? *I meant to type heat - not hear.

  1. A small red sheet over the lamp.. adds some nice romantic ambiance.
  2. no your not goina like this,..,hang regular off white gutters 4in,from ceilin,place 5 lights inside of gutter,hot wire to a double dimmer switch ,ajust at will,,o yea ,don't forget to put gutters just like outside,just like its goin to catch water<>IS<>

We have an electric fire place that adds a nice touch, but depending on what sort of lamps you have available, places like Lowes sell all colors of lamp shades (I have a glass 1 that is kinda yellowish/orange w/brown swirls-it's very mellow). Additionally, you might consider just installing dimmer switches in your home-they are not terribly expensive, and relatively easy to install (b sure to cut the power first!) We have dimmers on all of the light switches in our home. I wouldn't have it any other way.
