  1. I love interior design, i wanna do that to, or something along the lines of fashion! Sorry i dunno how to answer your Q, just thought i'd mention something though! lol
  2. Go to your local careers adviser.(look in the Thompson's or at your local authority web site for help finding them!) and they will be able to tell you what you need to do , they offer really good advise and its free. They will also know what is available in your local area. Good luck!
  3. Hello, (ANS) I looked into following a career in interior design but eventually decided against it, for a variety of reasons. Anyway, although I'm older than you (i.e. a mature student) I still think the same basic career pathways into interior design work still applies. A) You can do an HND in interior design and this can be done at a local college. My local college here in Leeds is Park Lane College and they do an HND Interior Design course over 30 weeks and this is for people who are already in work and have to fit the course in after employment. So the course runs x3 evenings a week over the 30weeks. **As for the HND course entrance requirements you could take a look at the park lane website as I feel sure that information is shown on there site. This would give you some idea? www.parklanecoll.ac.uk/ B) Degree level courses in Interior Design, again I'm going to quote you Leeds University as an example because those were the courses I looked into. Leeds Uni do a x3 year full time degree course in interior design and it looks very impressive too. If you want to take a look at their course details do have a look (and have a look at the course entrance requirements as an example for you. Again this will give you some idea of what you might need exam results wise that is!! www.leeds.ac.uk/ Hope that helps? Best Regards Ivan
  4. Hi, yepp, I think I can help: I work for a good number of furniture companies and have a lot to do with interior design. Usually interior designers are either employed as part of the interior team of a architects firm or they are employed by furniture dealers who furnish projects. Hence, a good start is to send your application to the architect firms you like. A great source for relevant job adverts are also the magazine "FMX" (by Wilmington Publishing), the organisation OFAS (an office furniture and design industry association) and "Pinetree", a recruiter specialised in interior design jobs. God luck!
