house plans?

I am looking for house plans and all i have is the street address where can i get the floor plans online

1. I'd be very surprised if house plans for specific addresses could be found on-line. The only inter-action between the government and house plans happens at the building permit stage. You could see if the government entity where the property is located places house plans on-line, but I bet not!
2. If it's a recent builder the builder's website should have them. Or if it is newer the Village might have a copy. If it's an older home, you usually will not be able to find those. They aren't recorded anywhere, at least here in Illinois this is true.
