What is the best security (alarm) system for my home. And cheap also.?

- just put a very large blanket over the house, that is printed " this house belongs to Hannibal Leckter, no one will want to go in.
- I asked a friend and they told me big barking dog!!So I brought one and although it might seem cheaper believe me in the long run it's not, the costs add up, plus they might be too lazy to wake up if some one breaks in.............
