I need a DSL Filter to attached in my Home alarm system box....?

Do I need a specific filter or will any filter do? I'm having trouble locating the one that I supposedly need, and many electronics stores say that they don't know why it matters that I get a specific one. Help

2. There is one made specifically for ADSL, apparently there is a difference between US and Canada so make sure you get the right one. Your best bet would be to contact the company monitoring your alarm systems. The Mfg is EXCELSUS and the US part number is 1E-ZA431PJ3X for Canadian it is 1E-KA431L01
