r there requirements for smoke alarms when selling a house?

1. Yeah--they have to work. I was once told that there had to be 1 smoke alarm for every 500 square feet, but I'm not sure about that.
2. Check local housing codes vary by area.... it you do have to have them check to see if they have to be networked or standalone.
