Will smoking pot in a non-smoking hotel room in Vegas set off the smoke alarms?

We reserved a room in a non-smoking hotel figuring that there would be some kind of patio or balcony or something but there isn't. We don't want to have to haul our asses to our car every time we want a bowl... lame. I've heard the you can smoke cigarettes because even the smoking rooms have detector. So how much smoke does there actually need to be? Does anyone know? We reserved a room in a non-smoking hotel figuring that there would be some kind of patio or balcony or something but there isn't. I'm not asking you to do it so keep your opinions on that matter to yourself. And to the guy who thinks I'm a bone head; I have well above average intelligence which is much more then can be said for you. Obviously you need to get out more if you still think smoking pot makes you stupid... they cracked that a while ago. BUT nice try... maybe you should try again later. :) I think people would like you more if you DID smoke. Lighten up asshole you didn't even attempt to answer my q.

  1. I use to smoke in non smoking rooms in AC, we never had problem. Its rude to the next person so try the bathroom.
  2. my friends and i stayed at the mirage in a non smoking room. we opened up a window and blew the smoke out of it. you should be fine. have fun!
  3. maybe yes maybe no i would go to the bathroom turn fan on close the door and get right 420 baby
  4. The alarms are suppose to be sensitive to any smoke. Best thing to do is to open your window and blow out there and hope you don't get caught.
  5. What are you doing smoking that crap for anyway. You think it makes you cool or something when in actuality, you are a bone head
  6. Yes, the smoke alarms in all Las Vegas hotel rooms have special, high-tech, state-of-the-art electronic cannabis sniffing sensors. They're top secret and virtually no information can be found on the Internet to this day. As soon as the sensor picks up the sweet odor of the marijuana smoke, a silent alarm goes off and you'll have hotel security at your door within minutes, with the local police just minutes behind them. Oh, and most hotels will charge you for smoking in a non-smoking room.
  7. no do it in the restroom and run the shower
  8. Oh my god! I´m smoking too. I was three times in Las Vegas, at the Hotels Bally´s, Excalibur, Aladdin (now Planet Hollywood). I´ve smoked in the rooms amd nothing was happened. The smoke detectors will make alarm, if you have so much fog in your room, that you can´t see your bed. No problem, you can smoke in your room! Have fun in Las Vegas, it´s really fantastic!
  9. You won't set off the detectors but a previous answer is right - it's rude to the next person who gets the room. I suggest one of those portable "smokeless ashtrays". Just open it up and blow the smoke into it, that will really help to filter the smoke and smell out. And a can of air freshener can't hurt either. But it shouldn't set of the detector.
  10. Your smoking will not cause the smoke detector to go off but the room next to yours might post a threat to you. You share same ventilation so if the room next door complains they might search your room. When you check in, ask for a smoking room....most of the time people cancel last minute and they will provide you with a better accomodation.
  11. the alarm is likely to go off and if u are caught there will be trouble what i do is i have 2 toilet paper tubes with a paper towel over the end (and a rubber band to hold it on) and i exhale into one and hold the other over the end of the bowl just as i finish inhaling, this is very effective
  12. Smoke alarms are set off by SMOKE of anykind......cigarettes, pot, wastepaper basket, bedding - anything. It detects SMOKE, not SOURCE of it. If you smoke anything in a non-smoking room you will be fined and have to pay for the clean up....if you smoke pot in the room, you will be arrested. Your choice.
