  1. I'm not sure about smoke alarms, but you might want to check out Dogs for the Deaf. These are actual service dogs and can be trained to respond to things such as regular smoke alarms.
  2. We have smoke alarms that we bought at Walmart that flash like a strobe light when they go off. They werent outrageously expensive either. Ive seen them at Ace and Home Depot too.
