incense and smoke alarms. can i light incense and have a smoke alarm in the same room.?

incense and smoke alarms. can i light incense and have a smoke alarm in the same room. i know it cant be right under the alarm but can it be across the room. will it work with a fan on. can i do it in a room next to a room with a smoke alarm? anyone?

1. You can do any of those as long as you do not mind the sound of the alarm because it will be going off.
2. You should be fine with it in the same room, so long as, like you said its not directly under the alarm. And if it still goes off, just take a book or piece of paper and fan in front of the alarm till it stopped beeping.
3. Sure, in the next room, in the same room with or without a fan. I burn it all the time. Enjoy!
4. I burn incense in my room for two or three minutes to get the smell. If I burn it any longer my smoke alarm goes off... I position the burner as far away from the smoke alarm as possible (on my window seal). You can do it, you just have to be careful and not burn it to long. Having a fan going or a window open may help.
5. no problem, just don't light the whole pack at once. most smoke alarms aren't that sensitive
6. Another option for ya...try the bottled incense oil on a light bulb or in a pan of water on the stove.
