Who manufactures floating ceramic tile flooring?
I saw this done on a home improvement show - floating tiles mounted on wood backing were installed over an existing tile floor.

- Floating floors are not really ceramic. They come in many finishes, some of which look like ceramic or stone tile. There are quite a few brands. Stop into a local flooring store and take a look. Wilson Art is a brand I've used. Stay away from the cheap stuff (HD or Lowe's). The thicker stuff has a better, harder finish, fits and installs better, and will hold up longer.
- You are probably thinking of something like the Edge Tile System that they sell at Lowes. I have heard lots of bad things about this type of tile -- mainly that it cracks if you put anything heavy on it like a couch or a refrigerator. A lot of the Lowes stores are getting rid of it because it has become a liability. If you want to learn more go to http://www.floorstransformed.com/ and do a search on "edge tile"
