Ceramit Tile Flooring on the diagonal?
What's the difference in installing ceramic tile flooring on the diagonal and straight? How much harder is it to install on the diagonal?

- Its Ceramic!!.......Get an professional to do it!
- Well you will end up cutting a lot more tiles than if you do it straight, but its no harder than that...If you are careful when cutting tiles in half, you can often use the other half as well. Just measure, start in the middle and work your way out...Use spacers! GL
- No real difference, your plumb lines just run on the diagonal instead of horizontally and vertically to the walls. You will still probably have some cuts to make, but they will be realy no more difficult than if you installed them straight. Besides, you will have a much more designer, custom look when you are finished!
- A little harder only because it's disorienting, (visually), as you're doing it! Just make sure you snap a chalk line, (or equivalent), in the middle of the floor space and work from this line outward!
- Also, you will need to increase the amount of tile purchased for the project by 15%.
