Are you pleased with your cork floors?

Did you install them yourself? Was it easy? Did you have any trouble with their installation? Do you have any regrets?

  2. Some cork floors are quite beautiful and the installation isn't too bad if you have some exp installing various products. The Important thing is to follow manufactures recommendations and to work off the floor. The install usually requires wet set method which means to lay the cork in the wet adhesive which can be trouble if you are working on the project or floor.Plan your layout and work from back of room toward your exit door.That will ensure you are not on the floor shifting the tiles and have the adhesive come up through the joints or seams, which is extremely difficult to remove and makes for a less than perfect job. The new corks of today are much more durable than when they were first introduced and even though it is a soft floor it is resilient.Cork floors are very attractive if installed correctly if not they can look horriable.Good luck
