Can I paint a cork floor? What sort of paint should I use?

- I WOULD PUT A WATER SEAL ON IT FIST THEN USE PRIMER THEN PAINT! PROLLY OIL BASE SO IT WONT BE THICK!
- you can paint cork, but it will leave a slippery surface unless you add sand/scratch coat to the paint. depends on if the floor is indoor/outdoor, which paint you should use. also, you'll want to seal it (thompson's waterseal, or something) or the cork will flake. whatever you use, amke sure you get a thick, very furry nap roller to get in the crevices (1" or thicker)
- Yes you can, but I'd apply a layer of runny PVA first to seal it.
- most people can paint a floor or wall-not highly skilled-use wood stain varnish
- I'd use a high quality 2-part epoxy paint. The newer floor paints have excellent adhesion, are durable and hard and are resistant to water and chemicals. They are very flexible and colour-fast and are resistant to UV radiation. The paints are able to take quite a pounding too, resisting shocks of up to 500 pounds / square inch. They are resistant to chemical invasion and can be applied in a single coat. What's more, they come in a large variety of different pleasing-to-the-eye colours.
- you cant paint cork make sure it dont get wet
- You haven't said if the floor is already down what has it been sealed with previously? It is difficult paint if the floor has been sealed with coats of varnish
