A cork floor which has yellowed. We Want to paint and seal it - can it be done?

Is it worth doing or should we just reinstall. Feel guilty pulling up a good floor .

1. You can paint it in a sense - you can use a waterbased concrete stain to paint it. Except it wouldn't be painting, more "dyeing" of the cork. It may take several coats but it will hold up better to the rigors of foot traffic.
