Does paint thinner harm cork flooring?
I just tried to clean my new cork floors after the work people left and the cleaner from i-floors isn't causing the luster to come back. I see smears and can't get them out. Would the paint thinner I saw a painter using on the floors have ruined the finish? Thanks

- You bet! It's very possible that a petroleum distillate or based thinner could've easily "eaten" away at the finish--probably a sealer of some sorts that was partially dissolved or etched by his attempt to clean his mess. Was it a thinner for the glue he used on the floor like for ex. denatured alcohol or just mineral spirits--paint thinner? Anyway, follow up on it because they may have to compensate you.
