flooring for pets?

Hi, We have 2 cats and 1 dog who stay indoors, Our carpet is ruined, we have tried everthing to stop them. repellents, rugs, different litter. Our dog just won't go outside. We will bring him out and he goes straight on our carpet. ugggg. We do not want to find them a new home for fear they would mess up their carpet also. Soon we are plainning to buy a home. What kind of flooring is best for pets. We are think of getting a house with wood or tile floors though out. if our dog or cat has accidents would it still ruin woods floors? Does anyone else have this problem?

  1. do NOT get wood floors- very hard to clean up..i know from expierence-4 cats. things-all things get stuck in cracks. linolium is best, tile ok. rugs as yoy know-yuck. your dog may have a medical problem for going in the house. how old? training may help. hope i helped, contact me if you need further assistance. good luck!
