When moving, can you transport open liquor bottles legally in AZ?

We are moving and have an entire liquor cabinet full, and most have been opened. Are we able to legally transport these open bottles from one residence to the other without violating the 'open container' laws? We live in Arizona.

  1. If you put the containers in a box in the back of a moving van, you'll be fine. The law is mainly used to help prevent drivers and passengers from chugging on some alochol WHILE driving. If the alcohol is opened but not accessable, you'll be fine.
  2. You can, but the bottles have to be in a bag or some container in the trunk of the car.
  3. Who cares? Do it anyway. Wrap individually in towels, place in box, seal with tape, mark "Fragile/Glass" and go. Who's gonna look in there? No one.
  4. If they are in a sealed box at the back of a van or truck, or in the trunk you shall have no problems. The main key is that they not be accessible for consumption by passenger or driver.
  5. Like other said-- pack them up, seal the box and put in a trunk or moving van. If its not near the driver or particpants you'll be fine.
  6. yes you can i used to work for a mover packing the truck and unloading ..you have to pack the liquor bottles in a box and tape them shut and as long as the liquor is not in reach of the driver all is fine my friend..
  7. You can as long as the driver can't access them. The trunk of a car would be fine. Inside the car would be another story. You're fine to transport them in a trunk or the back of a pickup or moving van.
  8. pack the bottles in a box and tape it shut and place it far out of reach of the passengers and driver like in the trunk of a car or back of a truck and you should be alright!
  9. no! i suggest that you pour them out before going anywhere! if a state trooper pulls you over, you will get fine, and then he! will pour thme out! for you! and then check your car for drugs, since he now has probable cause! and if you get caught with drugs, you all go ot prison! and it sure sounds like you are a bunch of dopers! too! if you are foolish enough to try it, then i suggest that yo ustock up on your chrystal meth, crack cocaine, and other drugs that you use! that, withopen alcohol bottles, should get you about 10-15 years in state! good luck!
