Is there a mouse repellent that works? Poisons leave dead mice inside walls & cabinets to smell bad. Traps???

Traps don't seem very effective. I actually saw a mouse run across several traps without springing them! It would seem easier to keep them from coming in to begin with, than to get rid of them once the are inside. There is no food in the garage, but there are lots of mice. Do the electronic "pest eliminators" actually work? I don't have a problem killing them (I have been using Deacon) but don't like smelling dead mice inside walls etc. (This happened last week.) I can't figure out where they are getting in, but we have had an ongoing problem with them. My house has a basement, not just a crawl space. A cat wouldn't work because I have 2 large dogs.

  1. try powdered sulfur pour it about 2 inches deep by two inches wide around the whole outside of your house
  2. Throw moth-balls around your property line, they won't cross it. Too bad it doesn't work on people!
  3. I love killing rats..big one. Is a thrill and I share with you how it works. First go to shop and buy this can of glue for rats (sorry no idea of the brand. Per can cost about $3.00) cut a 0.5 x 0.5 meter plywood. Actually, you can find thrown away board so you dont need to buy plywood. Pour out the glue onto the board and spread them. Leave about half inch border un-glue. Put more on the centre of the board. Put small pieces of salted fish on the centre. Leave the board near the place the rat often appear. Next day, for sure you will catch the rat..maybe one or maybe 3 to 4. This next step will be very interesting. Pour some fuel onto the rat and light them up. Its a pretty sight. Throw away the board and never re-use. About rat trap such as cage, once a rat is caught and you kill it. You can never use the same cage to try for another cage even you wash them clean. Waste of $$$$. As for the Hi-tech stuff, I have not see how effective or whether it works. All the printed brochure show how it is done but its only words. No actual demo. Good luck on your hunting
