  1. Contact zinsser and give them the conditions used in the application. They have a customer service line. Include time allowed for dry between primer and finish, as well as weather conditions (High humidity?) Zinsser says that latex will stick to oil based primer, but I am always a little leary about that.
  2. There are several reasons this may not have worked. The one that sticks out to me is that you used an oil based primer, then a water based top coat, these generally speaking are not compatible. It sounds like you need to sand it off or put acetone on it and restart the project again. I wish you lots of luck on this project!
  3. I have no idea what is causing the problem...unless of course you didn't wash the cabinets with liquid TSP before sanding and after stripping... There may be some residue from the paint stripper on the cabinets still and this would cause what you're seeing. For those who have told you you can't put latex over oil based primer, they are dead wrong. While you can't put latex over oil paint, YOU CAN PUT IT OVER oil primer... I do this ALL the time. But I don't know the primer you're talking about. I use either Bull's Eye 1-2-3 or Kilz... How long did you wait between putting the primer on and then the paint? Did you leave enough drying time for the primer before painting? I usually leave 72 hours between priming and painting...and I've never had the problem you are having. Is it too humid in the house? That could cause the problem... Contact your primer company... they should have some answers for you...
